| Job Description | Applicants must have a degree in Naval Architecture or similar with experience in the design and analysis of marine structures. Ideally a Chartered Engineer registered with Engineering Council and Relevant Institute is desirable. Whilst initially the role will require design and analysis of local structures, this may evolve to include a wide range of tasks including analysis of : Longitudinal strength, Global finite element Shear flow Hull girder stress and deflection and Shock including scantling calculations to Classification Society Rules. Candidates will also be expected to design and analyse the lifting, turning and transport arrangements, preparation of lifting, turning and transport procedures, for units and
blocks of ship structure. Hours: 39 per week, between 8am - 5pm, Mon - Fri |
